You can’t see Alaska without getting on the water and Stand Up Paddleboarding is a great way to get out there! Rent SUP boards from our friends in Anchorage, Wasilla, Juneau and Homer!

We have super-stable, beginner friendly boards to rent + wetsuits to keep you warm as needed. Calm, wind-free times are the best, but fun can be had in any weather, rain or shine. Check out these SUP instructions & tips.

  • Ashore Water Taxi | (907) 235-2341 | Conveniently located on the Homer Spit right next to the Homer Harbor. Ashore offers a full fleet of seven stand up paddleboards, wetsuits, and all associated gear. They can also transport you across the bay for a couple hours, or multi day paddling adventure. Instruction is available upon request.
  • True North Kayak Adventures | (907) 235-0708 |True North Kayak, located on the Homer Spit, specializes in SUP tour adventures in Kachemak Bay. Combine a hike to a glacier with a paddle in the glacier lake (fully suited up of course) or ‘Ride the Tide’ in either China Poot or Peterson Bay. True North also offers rental as well as 2-hour instructional sessions on the Homer Spit.


  • Salmon Annie’s | (907) 756-1110 |Salmon Annie’s offers the chance to set-net for salmon commercially in Seldovia Bay, in addition to renting two stable, beginner friendly boards available for exploring the Seldovia Slough and harbor. Coffee etc. also available in her retail shop. (Seldovia is across the bay from Homer and can be accessed via water taxi, fast ferry or bush plane.)
